Legislative Update:
A billed has just been filed in the Florida Legislature regarding “Teacher Quality.” The bill number is Senate Bill 736. DTU and FEA, your state affiliate, are currently in the process of reading and analyzing the bill. We will keep you apprised of the details.
Senator Steve Wise is the Chairman of the Education Committee and sponsor of the bill. Senator Wise has been very open in soliciting and accepting input from DTU, FEA, and other stakeholders on the bill.
